The cellar

Valmadrid is a small municipality belonging to the PGI Bajo Aragon, in the first written documents found the name ended in Z, and that is how we wanted to reflect it in the brand.

It would be the first inhabitants who began to plant some of the few vineyards that still remain in the town.
Garnacha is the grape that has always been planted in these parts.

Garnacha is the alma mater of our wines. That which fed the inhabitants of these lands, and now feeds the barrels that in months of maturation will carry the wines of Dominio de Monterosa to the history of its fruits.

Clusters of grapes loaded with natural sugars, which will give aromas and imprint the flavor of the time spent on the vine, the climate and the contribution of the soil.

Garnacha is the main raw material with which these wines are made. Its plant is strong and supports well the aridity of the soils of the Belchite countryside and the harshness of its climate, offering us fruits with a characteristic imprint of this area.

Garnacha, earth, passion and grape

identity wines

The wines that are made in the winery are part of IGP Bajo Aragón wines. A geographical indication that carries the guarantee of differentiated and quality wines.

The winery produces red wines, matured in French and American oak barrels. All of them from the vineyards that dot the municipality of Valmadrid.

The characteristics of the climate and the arid land of this steppe outline the properties of these red wines, of the Garnacha variety that our ancestors loved so much.
